Bio
I graduated from Troy State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Finance in 1990. I later returned to college and earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Troy University. I believe that continuing my education is crucial to teaching students, so whenever possible, I participate in professional development opportunities. In recent years, I have become an Advanced Fellow for the Wiregrass Writing Project, and I am a presenter of workshops for the Troy Regional In-service Center.
Experience
I've been fortunate to have taught 1st, 2nd, and 4th Grades at Banks School. This will be my tenth year teaching 4th Grade, and I look forward to a year full of learning and growing.
Bio
Hi! My name is Sharon Harris, and I teach 4th Grade Language Arts and Science. I am originally from Leary, Georgia, but I have lived in Troy since moving here to attend Troy State University when I was 18. I earned both my B. S. in Business Administration and M. S. in Elementary Education from Troy University. I am married to Russ Harris, and we have two children. We also have two "fur babies" that area a huge part of our family. I enjoy reading, cooking, traveling and spending time with my family. I am especially happy when I am relaxing at the beach.
